Established in June 2019,  Fair Winds Wellness, offers a natural and holistic approach to healthcare. Our mission is to promote healing and wellness to the Cambridge community through personalized care. Whether you're taking an individual class or workshop, getting acupuncture treatment or nutrition guidance,  we believe it is our responsibility as healthcare practitioners to encourage and to educate everyone that walks through our doors to take an active role in their own health.

Marie Nuthall, M.Ac., L.Ac.

Owner

Licensed Acupuncturist

Marie was first introduced to acupuncture over 25 years ago. After securing acupuncture treatments for her own health and well-being, she found a persistent need to learn more about this beautiful medicine and a strong desire to share it, which led her to the Masters in Acupuncture Program at Maryland University for Integrative Health. After three and a half years of intensive study which included over 1500 hours in the student clinic and certification as an Acupuncture Detox Specialist. Marie began her practice in Easton, before moving her office to Cambridge in 2017.

Staci Walden, MSCN, RD, LDN

Registered Dietitian

Staci brings to Fair Winds Wellness years of experience as a nutrition professional in a variety of practice settings.  Becoming a credentialed practitioner was a fitting result of many years of life experiences raising a military family and witnessing the power of food and how it brings people and cultures together, enhances the celebrations of major life events, heals and spreads joy!

 

Staci is a Registered Dietitian with a passion to meet people where they are, help identify their unique needs, and teach the skills that can enhance the quality of life through a personalized approach tailored to each client.  In addition to helping clients meet a variety of health goals with a food first approach to wellness through nutrition, as a Registered Dietitian, Staci is able to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to clients dealing with complex health such as: diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, renal disease, as well as pre and post-operative nutrition, home enteral feeding, and managing chemotherapy.

Shawn Nuthall, RYT-200

Owner

Yoga Instructor

Father, husband, traveler, guitar player and arm balance enthusiast. Shawn sees yoga as more than just a form of exercise, he believes it's moving meditation.  Shawn will challenge you to find the sweet spot in your practice as you engage your body, focus your breathing and calm your mind. Yoga is a wonderful healer, but it's also a lot of fun.  So come as you are and be free, be light, be well and kick some butt.

Shawn was a featured instructor at Floyd Yoga Jam 2019 in Floyd Va.

Angela Thomas, RYT-200

Yoga Teacher

For 15 years, Angela has brought her passion for wellness, health and joyful living to thousands of people in her role as a fitness instructor, business owner, and community advocate.  As a certified instructor in Group Fitness, Spin, Pilates, Pounds, PIYO, Kickboxing, Total Strength, Body Pump, Yoga, Paddlefit Core, and water safety, she’s helped students at every age, stage and ability harness movement in ways that are fun, safe and challenging.  Her most recent accomplishment receiving my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training from Todd Norian with Ashaya Yoga!

In 2014, she founded Over Board Paddle and Fitness to share her love for all things SUP! From beginner classes designed to help newbies gain confidence, to Sunset SUP Paddles, and Yoga at the Sail.

Angela started practicing yoga when her son, Logan, was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome.  Her time on the mat was a magical place where she could center her mind and nourish her soul to be more present for her family. Angela teaches because she believes in the power of wellness.

Jaclyn Lang, RYT-200

Yoga Teacher

Jaclyn is an Exercise Specialist, certified Yoga Alliance instructor, Aromatouch Practitioner, writer, and cat mama.  She strives to empower professionals, mothers, and students to eliminate burnout and create optimal energy through holistic nourishment and conscious living.  Her classes reflect this as she aims to lead you through a gentle yet dynamic sequence, focusing on alignment to reveal inner strength and cultivate peaceful breath. Jaclyn is a dedicated student of Hatha Vinyasa and various disciplines that challenge the body, illuminate the mind and open the heart. Her intention is to hold a safe space for others to heal and go deep into their own experience. During her studies at Hari Om Yoga School in Limon, Costa Rica with Massimo Monti and Jun Lee, Jaclyn discovered how to embrace pure life in her teachings, enlivening the muscles while supporting the fascinating anatomical structure and moving rhythmically into stillness.

Ren Boettger, RTY-200

Yoga Teacher

Ren is a Cambridge, MD native with a deep-rooted love for the community and all things Eastern Shore.  Besides being a wife and mother of 2, by day she is a Physical Therapist Assistant in an Acute Rehab hospital specializing in treating neurological disorders.    She is a 200 hour Hatha Yoga Graduate and member of the Yoga Alliance as well as a licensed Ashaya Method Teacher training directly under Todd Norian focusing on alignment-based yoga and tantric teachings.  Ren also is a BASI trained Pilates Instructor on all apparatus and member of the Pilates Method Alliance.  She has specialized continuing education in Yoga for Neurological Disorders, Pilates for Neurological Conditions through the Neuro Rehab Movement and Tai Chi for Physical Rehabilitation through the Tai Chi for Health Institute. 

Ren is an avid believer that movement - whatever movement that brings you joy, is the key to a fulfilled and happy life.  She will guide you through a yoga class that aligns the body and awakens the heart.  Ren is thrilled to be able to offer classes here locally to spread the joy and love of yoga!

Chris Wheedleton

Yoga Teacher

Chris Wheedleton began practicing yoga in 2010 as a way to increase flexibility after years of competitive sports, and physically challenging jobs. Having grown up on a farm in northern Dorchester County, he completed his B.S. in Education at Penn State, and has spent most of his career in training, strategy, and business development in corporate and educational environments. In addition to a busy life on the road, he also began running to balance the negative health effects our hectic work lives can bring. Chris found that adding yoga in a more significant way to his routine supplements all training. Noticing improvements in his overall health, happiness, energy levels, breathing, and mental capacity, Chris decided he wanted to share the positive impact of yoga with others. He believes that yoga can be beneficial for every person at every age, and strives to create an atmosphere in his class where each person can feel comfortable exploring their own individual practice. He earned his 200-hour teacher training certificate in May 2019 with internationally renowned Todd Norian, who founded Ashaya Yoga. Ashaya is alignment-based, and heart-focused yoga that can lead to all positive effects listed above and more. All levels are welcome to learn and expand their practice.

Lisa Marshall

Yoga Teacher

Lisa Marshall is a true local.  Born, raised, working, and living in Cambridge! Lisa received her Yoga Fit certification in 2017 and then completed her 200-hour YTT in 2019 at Yoga Vibes in Ocean City!  She believes that yoga has that special something that everyone is searching for. Whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual, Lisa believes that you will find exactly what you need to make your life complete through a consistent yoga practice! Join Lisa on Monday evenings for a science-based yoga class that consists of 2 breathing exercises and 26 postures. This repetitive practice will stretch and strengthen your body and mind, opening up new possibilities for you both on and off the mat. 

Sydney Airey

Yoga Teacher

Sydney is known for her versatile teaching style with an emphasis on breath.  She is passionate about connecting with the mind, body, and soul through her yoga practice and likes to try new asanas, breathwork, and intentions.  Sydney's yoga style is commonly referred to as Vinyasa or flow. In addition to syncing breath with movement, Sydney also incorporates Power yoga or Yoga Sculpt techniques into her practice in hopes of building strength, focus, and endurance with her students.  Sydney has been practicing yoga since 2014 and has been teaching for over 3 years in the Baltimore city area. Her roots are tied to the Eastern Shore as she is originally from Cambridge, MD. She is excited to embark on this virtual journey with Fairwinds Wellness and cannot wait to connect with former friends, family, as well as new students.  

Ashley Hodgdon 

Yoga Teacher

Ashley Hodgdon is the mother of three boys and an Eastern Shore native living in Mardela Springs. She stumbled upon yoga when she decided to get into shape a few years ago. Yoga helped her so much with her fitness goals, but she found it also supported her in other amazing ways. Ashley has a personal history with addiction, trauma, and autoimmune disease. Yoga has been such a wonderful tool in her own healing that she became a registered yoga teacher in 2019. Ashley hopes to share her experience and passion for wellness.

Patty Schwaninger

Yoga Teacher

Patty Schwaninger, RYT has studied and practiced yoga
since 2000. She is a graduate of Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA. She received her 200 hour certification in 2006 and her 500 hour certification as a professional Kripalu yoga
instructor in 2008. She is register with the Yoga Alliance. Patty is pleased to share her passion for yoga with her students.

Carol Crouch, RYT 200

Yoga Teacher

Carol began her path to yoga seeking respite from the daily stress of a career in IT. Finding physical and spiritual growth through movement and breath work, deepening her practice with teacher training through the University of Maryland School of Medicine Center for Integrated Medicine, Carol brings an integrative approach to her practice, incorporating gentle movement, breath work, meditation and yogic philosophy to her classes. Her primary focus is making yoga accessible for all ages and abilities, creating a safe space for the healing benefits of yoga. Carol studied Yin Yoga with Karen Mandell of Sattva Yoga; Aerial Restorative Yin Teacher Training certified; Ayurveda for Healthcare Professionals, The Maharishi Integrative AyurVeda Institute; and is a practicing Usui Reiki Master. She is currently pursuing advanced yoga studies at the YogaLife Institute in Wayne PA. Carol focuses on Beginner, Level I/II, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Chair and Restorative yoga.
