Amy has been striving to restore and enhance the joy of life in her community since childhood. From singing at her church to singing professionally on the stages of Nashville, she has a passion for touching the souls of others through her music. As a physical therapist for 25 years, she has learned how the soul and body are intertwined, that healing the body through manual techniques, and purposeful movements also affect the soul by providing a sense of freedom and vitality. Most recently, Amy received her RYT200 certification in the Ashaya yoga method, under the instruction of founder, Todd Norian. The emphasis of alignment, breath, and careful engagement of specific muscle groups in this method taps into her belief that proper postures and movements, performed with purpose, change yoga from just exercise to a way of expressing our souls deepest emotion, which is joy, the highest purpose of yoga practice.
